Traveller’s Rewards Program – Phase Out FAQ
Why is the SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts’ Traveller’s Rewards program ending?
As many of our SilverBirch properties transition to new partnerships with major hotel brands, we have decided to end the Traveller’s Rewards Program. This will provide our members with the opportunity to join the extensive Loyalty Program offerings of our brand partners.
When will the program officially end?
The Traveller’s Rewards program will be ending on June 15, 2012. However, we will not be issuing rewards points after December 31, 2011.
Any existing points or points earned until year-end 2011 can be redeemed at any time until June 15, 2012.
How do I check how many points I have?
There are three ways to check your point balance:
- In person at any of the participating hotels
- Online here .
- By contacting SilverBirch Central Reservations at 1-888-422-6232 and our associates will be happy to assist you.
What can I get with my points?
For every 1000 points you can enjoy a free night stay or receive a $100 dining credit at our participating hotels.
Currently you can redeem your points at any of our seven participating hotels:
- Harbour Towers Hotel and Suites Victoria
- Lethbridge Lodge Hotel and Conference Centre
- Red Deer Lodge Hotel and Conference Centre
- Mayfield Inn and Suites at West Edmonton
- Saskatoon Inn Hotel and Conference Centre
- Regina Inn Hotel and Conference Centre
- Hotel des Seigneurs Saint-Hyacinthe
How do I redeem my points?
Please visit any of the participating hotels, and at check in our associates will be happy to assist you in redeeming your points.
I recently booked to stay at a Traveller’s Rewards hotel this past December. Will I still be able to earn points?
You can continue to earn rewards points until December 31, 2011. Starting on January 1, 2012, points will no longer be issued. Existing points and any earned until year-end 2011 will be valid until June 15, 2012.
Points can only be redeemed after registering your card online on the Great Canadian Hotel website.
Can I still sign up to be a member today?
No, we are no longer signing new members up.
Will I still be entitled to member benefits like upgrades at check in and free appetizers after Dec 31st, 2011? Yes, all existing members will continue to receive the member benefits until June 15th 2012.
I don’t think I can redeem all my points before June 15, 2012. Can I transfer my points to other members?
Unfortunately Traveller’s Rewards benefits and points are non-transferable and must be used by the person registered with the Traveller’s Rewards program.
Can I redeem my points before June 15, 2012 by booking a stay at one of your properties after the program terminates?
The points can only be redeemed for bookings that occur before the program ends on June 15, 2012.
I have a Traveller’s Reward card and know that I have earned points, but I didn’t register my card online. Can I still redeem the points I earned?
Yes, but you MUST register your card online before you are able to redeem your points.
You can register your card on the Great Canadian Hotel website.
Is there a new Loyalty Program for SilverBirch coming out?
SilverBirch will not be opening a new loyalty program for its guests.
